John Joseph “Jay” Kundrat III:

Jay served 8 years in the United States Marine Corps, assigned to Station Weapons units in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii and New River, North Carolina. He received an Honorable Discharge and shortly thereafter began work with the Prince Georges County, Maryland Fire Department. 16 years later he was medically retired when a back injury ended his Firefighting career. After searching for something else meaningful to do, Jay worked as a 911 dispatcher and supervisor for the next 12 years.

Jay is an NRA Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer.  He is a Certified Maryland Handgun Instructor and a Certified Utah Concealed Firearm Instructor. He is also a Commissioned Notary Public in Maryland and is a Maryland Designated Collector.

Jay holds permits to carry from Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Utah.

Jay normally carries a full size Kimber .45 caliber 1911 loaded with Winchester PDX1 ammunition in a Crossbreed Super Tuck IWB holster.

Katherine “Katie” Kundrat:

Katie graduated from Queen Annes County High School in Maryland and currently handles all aspects of Kundrat Ordnance’s social media sites.

Katie holds a Maryland HQL and permits to carry from Florida, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Utah. 

Katie normally carries a Kimber Rose Gold Micro 9 loaded with Winchester PDX1 ammunition in an Eclipse IWB holster.

John Joseph “Joey” Kundrat IV:

Joey does not hold any permits to carry so he does not carry a firearm at this time.  The fact he is under 21 years old contributes to him not carrying yet.  Joey makes numerous appearances throughout our courses of instruction and can be heard reciting his ever popular “If you have a CCW you don’t need an HQL” line at the beginning of the Maryland Law 2 lesson in our Maryland Wear and Carry Course.

Richard “Josh” Melton:

Josh served 4 years in the United States Navy onboard the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75). He received an Honorable Discharge from the Navy in 2005, then went on to get his AA in Computer Networking and he currently is working in Washington DC as a Internet Services Manager. He currently holds a Maryland HQL & Maryland CCW. He is responsible the Kundrat Ordnance website.

Chief:

Chief cannot carry a firearm, he does not hold any permits to carry concealed. Chief is Joey’s pure bred Dalmation and the mascot of Kundrat Ordnance.
